Discover how to get your vision onto paper by understanding fundamental drawing techniques and materials. Artist Jackie Tice will guide you through the exploration of line and contour, shape and form, light and shadow, space and depth, and proportion and perspective. Get acquainted with a range of materials and drawing media as you discover more about the visual arts.

Notice

Please read:  Bring the following to class: A pad of newsprint paper, 18” x 24” or 24”x 36”. A range of four soft pencils, including one each of 6B, 4B, 2B, and HB. A piece of compressed charcoal, usually you will find them in 3” x 1/4” x 1/4” pieces. Get just one piece for now, if you like it later get more. A black ball point pen. Make sure it is black not blue. Kneaded rubber eraser. You can bring other things like tape and a ruler if you like, but are not necessary. All supplies here are recommendations. When you go to purchase supplies and something is not in stock don't worry just get something you think is close and we will work with it.
