« back to classes page
The CNC router is a 21st-century woodworking machine used to cut parts, carve decorative details, make signs, and produce relief carvings. CNC machines are popular with woodworking hobbyists, artists, and crafters in home shops and makerspaces. Local CNC woodworker Allan Tuchman will guide you in using the popular VCarve Pro software required for operating any CNC router, and you’ll design a project. An additional two-hour session will be arranged for you to complete your project on an actual CNC machine at the Champaign Woodworkers Club after being trained in the safety and operation of the CNC router.
